This week, we’ve got a review of Halo 3: ODST up (no Master Chief included), a Weekend Reading piece dealing with China and videogaming nationalism and an EndGameWeek about what we’re set to play in our spare time. But there are also some new stories you might want to take a look at.
On Monday, a list of the multiplayer Perks was leaked for Modern Warfare 2 and everyone instantly began building off their favorite mix in anticipation for the release of the FPS on November 10. But if you like shooting and can’t wait, you could take a look at the cooperative-oriented Borderlands.
On Tuesday, I offered a Counterpoint to the review we posted for Operation Flashpoint: Dragon Rising, showing why the game could have been so much more while we also took a look at the Prince of Persia movie trailer, which is set to break the curse of videogame to movie conversions.
Wednesday was all about blockbusters, with Modern Warfare 2 registering record pre-orders before its November 10 official release… (Read the rest of this article at the following article source link for the full story)
This is a different map from what you’re used to (it resembles RPG maps) where a team of five players is a must. It was built using the Sunken Ruins tileset with a size of 96×96, of which 84×84 playable.
A small band of heroes were venturing across the dense forest to reach a nearby city to rest. They kept clear of the ruins of the ancient Rezbazma Temple, which is rumored to be cursed by an unknown evil. All seemed well until the ground caved in beneath there feet and they slid down an old buried duct and ended up straight into the heart of the temple.
You all have to find your way out alive. Remember to stay close to the Paladin because he can see the evil, which lurks in the shadows. But if one of you dies, the dark curse, that consumed this temple, will devour the rest of the group as well.
Rezbazma Ruins is a maze/bound map with a teamwork twist. All five heroes have to work together and use their skills to exit the temple. Only certain heroes can activate switches, power up… (Read the rest of this article at the following article source link for the full story)

We have here a tiny hide and seek map built using the Underground tileset. This map supports up to 11 players (eight Badgers and three Snakes). The evil Snakes have mutated into something sinister that threatens to destroy the cute mushroom loving badgers.
Badger Tag is similar to the other great tag maps out there. The Badgers must hide from the Snakes and survive for 20 minutes. If a Badger is killed, then they enter the Circle of Death jail area as a Badger spirit. To free the captured spirit, a fellow Badger must tag it out by attacking the spirit attacking the spirit. If at least one Badger is alive when the timer hits zero, the Badgers win the game. If all the Badgers are killed by the Snakes before the time runs out, the Snakes win.
As a Snake, you have six abilities to take advantage of. Read their description and see what skill suits you the best. Use your Demolish skill to hack a path through the Fungal Forest. At the top left and bottom right of the Forest is your local… (Read the rest of this article at the following article source link for the full story)
Malwarebytes burst the bubble this week and came out accusing IObit of copying their database, thus providing through their IObit Security 360 product the same protection as Malwarebytes’ Anti-Malware. The copyright infringement implications led to DMCA serving of the latter to a number of software download websites in US.
Both security vendors have engaged in a war of statements on their respective blogs, stirring up heated discussions among users on their forums. Speculations have been made, opinions expressed, but no official answer to clear all haze has been given. We tried to learn about the sparks that lit the scandal and the elements fueling it.
Before we begin, we’d like to note that, in order to be fair and give everyone involved a chance to express their point of view, we also sent a set of questions to IObit for a similar interview. We have received a short response from one of the company’s representatives, making it clear that the vendor had more important software… (Read the rest of this article at the following article source link for the full story)
Nadya Suleman got tagged with the OctoMom nickname much against her will after giving birth to octuplets in January this year. She was, for a brief while, some sort of a national hero – but all that changed when it was found that she had yet another six minor children at home, no job, and was living on government help. In a new interview with the Daily Mail, Suleman says life did not turn out like she had expected.
For starters, she now realizes she might have made somewhat of a mistake when she made the decision to have so many babies. She’s not really calling it a mistake, though, like she did during an interview with a US media outlet and for which she got a lot of flack, but she does say that people need to get over themselves and stop judging her. What’s done is done, she says, so she just has to see how she deals with it – and she suggests everybody else does the same, especially her critics.
She didn’t decide to have so many babies because she wanted to cash in on them,… (Read the rest of this article at the following article source link for the full story)
Michael Lohan is again fighting back at allegations made by his own daughter, actress Lindsay Lohan, on her Twitter page. Following the release of a private conversation between himself and former wife Dina, Lindsay tweeted that her father was not a real man for often threatening to kill her mother. This is the clearest sign that Lindsay is more delusional because of the heavy drug use than he believed her to be, Michael is now saying in a statement to the New York Post.
The two have been engaged in a bitter exchange of words for many months now. Michael, on one hand, is saying that he’s only speaking to the media about Lindsay’s drug use to show to her that she needs professional help. The star, on the other hand, claims they haven’t been in contact for years and that Michael is only trying to cash a buck at her expense, by spreading lies about her.
The feud culminated the other day, when Michael said that God was punishing his daughter for trying to tarnish his reputation with… (Read the rest of this article at the following article source link for the full story)
Tom Cruise is arguably the Scientologist with the highest profile, which is why he’s also being used as an example for the entire community, that is, all the other members of the cult, a former Scientologist tells Radar Online. Marc Headley left the cult about five years ago and now, in a book called “Blown for Good: Behind the Iron Curtain of Scientology,” he plans to shed light on what’s going on behind the closed doors of the Church of Scientology.
Speaking with Radar ahead of the release of the book, Headley says smaller-ranked Scientologists were constantly summoned and gathered in conference halls, and then made to watch videos with Tom Cruise. Oppositely, they were not allowed to read newspapers or watch TV, so that the re-edited films they were shown were the only side of the “truth” they knew. And, according to Headley, it was propaganda of the most controlling and brain-washing type.
“Everyone there thought Tom Cruise was just brilliant. Absolutely all the employees… (Read the rest of this article at the following article source link for the full story)
Exercising is very important to remain healthy. But most of us pay no heed to this issue. Out of work pressure we neglect this issue. As a result we have to suffer from severe consequences.
